The Day Michael Jackson Died.
Silence.... The moon walk was gone. No more crotch grab. America was hit with a vicious heart stab. Much more than just a performer on the stage. Timeless music resinates with with children of any age. Little girls screaming. Older woman in shock and aww. One man, one glove. Greatest sight you ever saw. He was a smooth criminal. The way he stole our hearts. Number one in our sole. We never cared where he stood on the charts. The day Michael Jackson died. Etched in stone in all of our history. would he be on top right now? That's a definite mystery. Despite all allegations. We stood by his side. Like our favorite family member. So we couldn't help but cry. The hairs on our back. Stood up. Like watching thriller for the first time. The news broke us down. And we cried like hearing man in the mirror and closed our eyes with every rhyme. Billie Jean lost her friend. And we lost our icon. Someone to call our own. So we muster the strength. Cuz life goes on. The day he died. I was sitting on the floor. Shock turned into cries. My eye sockets dripped with tears down to my side pockets. As I ran towards the door. I remember like it was yesterday. Watching moon walker, trying to be a moon walker. But it was Dangerous. The black and white glove just made the room darker. Whose Bad? He was the baddest on the planet. The duet with Janet was more than a dream. So when the word hit me, I couldn't help but scream. The day Michael died. Yea we lost more than an icon. We lost a real life American idol. Number one in the pop Bible matter of fact he wrote the book, so there could only be one Michael. One man. One speed demon. One main attraction. Known by the initials MJ or simply The king of Pop Mr. Jackson.
